Our story
Welcome to Divine Provisions Urban Farm in Poway, California. To us, this is more than just a business;
it's a journey of faith, family, farming, fun and fabulously delicious and healthy food.
We are passionate about producing quality, flavorful, organic products and sharing our many hobbies with our family and friends.
Who are Karen and Brian?
Since day 1 of their over 30 year marriage journey, both Karen and Brian have been committed to producing nutrient-filled, healthy and delicious products through their gardening passion. Before becoming landowners, Karen filled the front patio of their Carlsbad condo with pots of many shapes and sizes, planted with various vegetables, herbs and fruit trees. Many of those plants made their way into the ground of their first owned 1/3 of an acre property in Rancho Bernardo, and several of those plants were dug up and transplanted into their current property in Poway.
Now, in their 15th year at their Poway property, and with their children having all grown and flown the nest, Karen and Brian spend a large part of their time nurturing their over 40 fruit and nut trees, petite sirah and cabernet grape vines, vegetable garden, herbs and flowers, chickens, bees and LGDs, all of which are like their children.
They enjoy spending the largest part of their time and energy nurturing, growing, harvesting, sharing and enjoying the fruits of their labor, made possible only because of God's Divine Provisions.
What makes us different?
At Divine Provisions, we lovingly grow a wide array of organic products. Our seasonal produce includes tomatoes, green beans, eggplant, peppers, artichokes, tomatillos, onions, garlic, zucchini, green beans, sweet peas, lettuce, and beets, as well as herbs, and oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, kumquats, loquats, persimmons, pomegranates, pears, apples, peaches, plums, apricots, pluots, nectarines, lemons, limes, cherimoyas, and avocados. Plus, we're chicken keepers and bee keepers, so we are blessed to enjoy a constant supply of honey and farm fresh eggs from very happy bees and chickens. But that's not all! We also homebrew beer, make homemade estate-grown petite sirah and cabernet sauvignon wine, preserve jams and jellies, and we make many delicious baked goods, as well as craft liquors like lemoncello, persimmon and pomegranate wines, and blackberry liquor.
Our passion for quality and deep curiosity guide our creativity and decision making and the phrase "What's Next?" is a common utterance on the farm.

Our message to you
We want you to remember to have faith and know that Our Lord divinely provides according to His will, as is promised in Philippians 4:19: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." Our Lord's Divine Provisions are lovingly created for our sustenance and enjoyment!
